About THE TEA TREEHOUSE

In 2011 our Tea Treehouse founder, Gabriella Makena, decided she wanted to combine two of her favorite things: Tea and Treehouses. She began studying and blending her own herbal teas, gifting them to friends and family and eventually building a website to extend her gifts to loved ones and strangers alike. The website was the first step towards the eventual brick and mortar Treehouse Tea shop.

Fast forward to the grand opening of our website on December 1st, 2019, we officially released our flagship blend: the Butterfly Infusion. Our humble packaging consisted of a biodegradable baggie tied off with twine. 

By 2021 after attending farmers markets, craft fairs and being stocked on the shelves of small health food stores, our teas became a beloved staple in households across the United States. 

Today we take pride in staying true to our roots: putting the environment first by only sourcing fair trade, sustainable and ethical ingredients and using biodegradable and reusable packaging. 

Though we’ve evolved our look over the years, we are still driven and inspired by our passion for working with plants and sharing their magic with everyone. Brew Magic!
